Class 1 Driver

We are working with our client who are an established offshore business based in Newcastle in the search for a Class 1 Driver.

This is a yard based (Shunting job) on a permanent basis with no overnight/ long distance

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company on a permanent basis with plenty of overtime available.

Responsibilities:

• To undertake general local collections and deliveries.
• To communicate with the office to arrange future pick-ups and deliveries.
• To assist with loading and offloading of goods.
• To complete and maintain documentation relating to freight, collections and deliveries.
• To comply with all relevant driving legislation and agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal work environment.
• To ensure company vehicles are kept clean and in good working order.
• To work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies.
• To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected.

The Person:

• FLT License advantageous
• Driving license entitlement of Class 1
• Valid digital tachograph and up to date CPC card.
