Job Responsibilities

Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles to transport hazardous and non-hazardous goods across designated routes in a safe and timely manner.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including ADR requirements and company policies.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including delivery notes, logs, and ADR paperwork.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues.
Adhere to scheduled delivery times and optimise routes for efficiency.
Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay updated on industry standards and safety protocols.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with no more than 6 points
Current ADR certification in packages
Proven experience in driving Class 1 vehicles, preferably within a logistics or transportation environment.
Strong knowledge of UK road networks and route planning.
Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations related to freight and hazardous materials.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and compliance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
