Role SummaryWe are currently searching for a Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity, on behalf for a highly regarded Lloyd''s / London Market insurer.The successful candidate will investigate and maintain claims within Professional Indemnity, working within authority on assignments of moderate, technical complexity. Key ResponsibilitiesInterpreting policy coverages and determining if coverages apply to claims submitted, escalating issues as needed.Setting activities, reserves and authorising payment within scope of authority, settling claims in most cost effective and timely manner.Participating in performing investigations and evaluating claims through contact with insureds, claimants, witnesses and experts.Identifying and escalating serious claim developments to management efficiently and effectively.Partnering with legal counsel, account representatives, brokers, underwriters and insureds to develop a focused strategy for timely and cost effective resolution of claims.Developing and maintaining strong broker relationships.Participating in planning strategy and negotiating within scope of authority.Key Requirements Prior experience of managing Professional Indemnity Claims.Knowledge of claims and insurance industry theory and practices.Developing technical expertise, product specific knowledge and negotiation skills.Ability to negotiate and settle claims effectively.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently with good time management skills. ..... full job details .....
