My client are a leading energy solution provider that-are looking to onboard a-Civil Site Manager-with the National Grid Competent Persons authorisation, to an ongoing energy infrastructure package being delivered in-Manchester.
Site manager responsibilities:-
- Day to day management of site operatives, subcontractors and site work.
- Development and implementation of safety documentation including construction phase plans, site quality plans and risk assessments / method statements.
- Undertake inspections, Carry out site inductions, Toolbox Talks & Daily Briefings.
- Prepare daily SSoW and put people to work.
- Produce & maintain Site Specific Risk & Method Statements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the contractors.
- -Attend weekly progress meetings.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
- Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the project.
- Maintain a high standard of documentation and records of project. activities/labour including a site dairy.
Site manager requirements:-
- Right to work in the UK.
- Desirable to already hold SSE authorisation of minimum CAT1C.
- Must have SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor.
- Competency to work in substations 66kV to 400kV inclusive.-
- Knowledge of current legislation relating to health, safety and environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work within budget and to programme timescales.
- Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers, H&S advisers, site staff, quantity surveyor and estimators.
- IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Full driving licence.
- Must be prepared to travel and work away at customer sites.
- Previously or current authorisation to NG Competent Persons.
