Civils Site Manager (Interim)

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working with a Gainsborough based Civils / Groundworks company recruiting for an experienced interim Civils Site Manager (Sub-contrator) to work on a 2-3 months fixed term contract on a day rate agreement.You must be self-employed (CIS or other). You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of civil engineering / groundworks projects, including roads, sewers and all associated infrastructure works on residential, commercial and industrial construction developments.The successful Site Manager candidate will ensure civils / groundworks projects are delivered OTIF, plus safely, efficiently, profitably and in accordance with civils works programme, specification and quality standards, to then pass on next stage works to the main contractor. The role requires strong civils / groundworks team leadership skills, superb communication with both clients and stakeholders, along with the ability to coordinate and oversee subcontractors, order plant machinery (hire / de-hire), control all labour costs and order in required labour, as well as control all materials ordering to achieve successful project delivery as requested by the main contractor / end using client.Civils and Groundworks Programme and Delivery: Plan daily and weekly site activities.Monitor progress against programme.Identify delays and implement mitigation measures.Coordinate works with clients, utilities and other sub-contractors.Attend and contribute to site progress ..... full job details .....
