The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Construction Professionals South are recruiting for a Civils Site Manager to join a
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations
- Conducting regular site inspections, toolbox talks and risk assessments
- Promoting a safety- first culture on site
- Maintaining site paperwork
- Managing and coordinating site operatives, subcontractors and operators
- Allocating work and ensuring effective workforce management
- Ensuring all staff are briefed on daily tasks and safety requirements
- Keeping accurate records of site activities (diary diaries, progress reports)
- Reporting on progress, risks, delays and issues to senior management
- Acting as the main point of contact
- Ensuring correct execution of road construction and resurfacing, drainage and kerbing etc.
- Understanding NRSWA Regulations, Section 278 works and highway authority standards.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager doing highways and heavy civils
- Strong background in Section 278
- Previous experience managing NRSWA
- Relevant tickets- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
- Excellent communication skills
- Great understanding of groundworks, deep drainage.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
