Civils Quantity Surveyor

Civils Quantity Surveyor andndash; Civils/Highways andndash; Stockport andndash; up to andpound;60,000 salary

My client are a leading Civil Engineering Contractor in the North West Region and they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to joint heir team covering projects in the Trafford and Rochdale area. Projects will be predominantly highways projects with some structures (Bridges).

This role is an office/site split with 1 day a week WFH.

Roles and Responsibilities
andbull; Site measurements and preparations of weekly cost and production reports.
andbull; Undertake cost forecasts
andbull; Liaise with the site teams to assess and prepare quotations and estimates.
andbull; Management of subcontractors including enquiries, order placement, payment assessments
andbull; The production of valuations and submission to clients
andbull; Interpret drawings and instructions and agree estimates with site teams and clients
andbull; Liaise with subcontractors to agree rates and services
andbull; Agree final accounts with all parties in a prompt manner
andbull; Assist the financial director and his team in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting
andbull; Any other reasonable requests from company management

Candidate Skills
andbull; QS Degree or equivalent
andbull; Civil Engineering (Highways/ Structures) experience
andbull; Extensive experience with both private and public sector clients on major projects and a working knowledge of NEC (mainly) and JCT forms of contract.

Remuneration Package:
Negotiable (depending on experience)
