Civils FLS - Todmorden

About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced Civils Working Supervisor to lead site teams across water and wastewater treatment projects. This is a hands-on role where you will both supervise and actively contribute to civils works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead site operatives on civils works including excavation, drainage, concreting, and reinstatement
• Work alongside the team as a hands-on operative when required
• Plan daily activities and allocate tasks effectively
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments
• Coordinate plant, materials, and labour on site
• Liaise with site managers, engineers, and clients
• Monitor progress and report on productivity and any issues

 Requirements Essential:

• Strong background in civil engineering / groundworks
• Previous experience in a supervisory or ganger role
• Experience working on utilities or water infrastructure projects
• Valid CSCS card
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of health & safety practices

• CPCS/NPORS – Forward Tipping Dumper
• CAT & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool)
• Confined Space Training
• Streetworks (NRSWA)
• First Aid at Work
