Civils Estimator Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire Hours: 8.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience Holiday: 32 Days incl. bank holidays Sector: Civil Engineering, Rail, Estimating, Construction Our client is a leading UK provider of construction and engineering services to the rail network, supporting major infrastructure and rail projects across the country. The company delivers specialist services across trackwork, civil engineering, construction and rail infrastructure, working with major clients across the industry. With extensive sector expertise and a strong focus on safety, quality and delivery, they play an important role in maintaining and developing the UK''s rail infrastructure. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit an estimator form a civil engineering background. You''ll primarily be overseeing drainage, concrete and other small civils projects within railway depots. Your day to day will include reviewing drawings, producing quantity take-offs, identifying commercial risk, and maximising value engineering opportunities. Position Duties Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scopes of work to understand project requirements. Preparing detailed estimates and competitive tenders for civil engineering and rail projects. Completing accurate quantity take-offs and measurements for earthworks, drainage, groundworks, concrete, utilities, roads and associated civil works. Obtaining and ..... full job details .....
