Civil Structural Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civil Structural Design Engineer-on behalf of a large main contractor with an increasingly large workload.

This sizeable main contractor have built a-strong reputation for quality across all divisions delivering for various Water-frameworks & other clients. In their time they''ve grown to a -500m+ turnover and are well known as industry specialists with re-enforced concrete, tunnelling and heavy civils.

All projects are for Yorkshire Water and mainly consist of storm tanks, water treatment upgrades with values from -5m to north of -20m - some real variety on scope!

This role is based out of an office near Leeds with some site visits. They have a regional design team of -40 people-and now require an additional-Civil Structural Engineer to further bolster their capabilities in-house.

Duties:

• Detailed design for re-enforced concrete structures & wider civils
• Provide guidance to Graduate / Trainee Design Engineers
• Represent company in meetings, client & stakeholder interactions
• Working to Eurocode design standards
• General structural calculations
• Working with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery on site
• Documentation & drawing reviews

Experience Required:

• Must have experience as Civil Structural Engineer in a design capacity
• Must have experience designing re-enforced concrete
• Must be familiar with Eurocode standards - ideally Eurocode 2
• Ideally have experience with Geotechnical or Temporary Works design
• Must have fluent IT & English writing skills
• Experience with AutoCAD beneficial

Remuneration:

On offer is a salary of up to -55,000 (dependant upon experience) plus package.
(Car / allowance, pension, mileage expenses, annual leave etc.).
