Civil Site Manager

Urgent Requirement - Specialist Site Manager Needed - Immediate Start

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Site Manager to support the delivery of a major 400kV Substation.

This role requires experience working on National Grid substations, with responsibility for site leadership, safety management and delivery of civils works on a complex infrastructure project.

The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with strict compliance standards.

What You''ll Be Doing

• Managing day-to-day site operations, including operatives and subcontractors
• Leading delivery of civil works on power / substation projects
• Producing and managing RAMS, construction phase plans and site documentation
• Delivering toolbox talks, site inductions and daily briefings
• Overseeing health, safety and quality compliance on site
• Conducting site inspections and progress monitoring
• Managing temporary works and safe systems of work (SSoW)
• Supporting programme delivery and resolving on-site issues
• Maintaining detailed site records, reports and documentation

What They''re Looking For

• Experience as a PCSM on National Grid Substations up to 400kV
• Strong understanding of health & safety, RAMS and site compliance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• SMSTS
• CP NSI 6&8
• HSG47 Substations
• SR163 Accreditation
• Manuel Handling
• Lifting Supervisor

Desirable:

• SSE Authorisation minimum of CAT1C
