Civil Setting Out Engineer

Summary:

The Civil Site Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for setting out line and level using various surveying equipment in accordance with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS). The role requires previous experience on a National Grid (NG) site and holding NG Persons certification. Key duties include acting as Document Controller for all civil drawings, assisting the civil site team with constructability reviews, raising Technical Queries (T.Q''s), obtaining quotes, raising orders, and completing As-Built drawings. The engineer will ensure accurate and timely setting out, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and support the site team in delivering works to specification and programme.

Skills:

• Ability to set out line and level using various surveying equipment
• Previous experience on a National Grid (NG) site
• NG Persons certification
• Familiarity with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS)
• Document control for civil drawings
• Assist with constructability reviews and raise Technical Queries (T.Q''s)
• Support civil site team with obtaining quotes and raising orders
• Complete As-Built drawings accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability)

Certifications & Standards:

• NG Persons certification (mandatory)
• CSCS card (desirable)
