Civil Engineering Site Supervisor St Mary s Street, Edinburgh Recruitment by: PSS Ltd Location: St Mary s Street, Edinburgh Old Town Project duration: ASAP - January April 2027 Rate: £28 per hour Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week, with additional weekend work available The Role PSS Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Supervisor to oversee works on St Mary s Street in Edinburgh s historic Old Town. The project involves the removal and excavation of approximately 750 metres of existing road surface, exposing the traditional stone setts (cobbles), followed by the necessary preparation and reinstatement works. The successful candidate will maintain a daily on-site presence, supervise the workforce and ensure the project progresses safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Key Responsibilities Maintain a daily on-site management presence. Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors. Oversee excavation, removal and reinstatement of traditional stone setts. Monitor progress and ensure work is completed to programme. Maintain health and safety standards and site compliance. Coordinate deliveries, site activities and workforce requirements. Liaise with project management and relevant stakeholders. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the works.
