      <description>Location: Plymouth | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | Lead Civil Engineer – Onsite Location: Plymouth  Hours: 37–40 hours per week  Contract or Permanent  Our client is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support a major infrastructure project in Plymouth. Working within a Joint Project Team, you will coordinate and oversee civil and structural engineering activities on a high-profile defence programme. Key Responsibilities   Define requirements and prepare technical specifications    Manage design support activities    Review drawings, method statements, and risk assessments    Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction    Support commissioning and respond to technical queries    Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards   Essential Experience   Design assurance on complex projects    Civil engineering delivery experience    Stakeholder engagement across the engineering lifecycle   Desirable   Defence sector experience    Engineering lifecycle management    Chartered Engineer status   Requirements   UK National with active SC Clearance    Accredited STEM degree (or equivalent experience)    Relevant marine and/or mechanical environment exposure  &lt;/ul</description>
