We are looking for a solid Civil Engineer to join a large, multi-discipline consultancy out of their Wigan office.

The Role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality infrastructure design solutions across a range of development projects. Working as part of a collaborative design team, you will contribute to the technical delivery of schemes from initial concept through to detailed design and approval.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare highway and drainage designs in accordance with agreed engineering strategies.
- Support the negotiation of technical approvals for adoptable works (S104, S38, S278 agreements, etc.).
- Ensure designs comply with current Codes of Practice and Health and Safety legislation.
- Undertake highway design, ground modelling, and external levels design (including Part M compliance).
- Carry out drainage design and hydraulic modelling, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
- Liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

- 2+ years industry experience
- Degree or HNC qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- Working knowledge of:

- Highway design and ground modelling
- Drainage design and hydraulic modelling
- Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

Ideally you would have experience with Civil3D, AutoCAD, PDS/Flow.
