Civil Engineer - Drainage

A leading recruitment agency is currently working with an established and growing consultancy operating across the built environment sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team in Watford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects, with the opportunity to develop their technical expertise and play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the built environment.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines to develop practical and effective civil engineering solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and delivering civil engineering solutions across a variety of built environment projects
• Producing technical drawings, specifications, calculations and reports
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
• Supporting projects from concept through to detailed design and construction
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Assisting with site inspections and technical problem-solving where required
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and best practice
• Contributing to the successful delivery of projects to programme and budget

We are looking for a Civil Engineer with relevant consultancy or industry experience and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles.

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
• Proven experience working as a Civil Engineer within the built environment
• Experience delivering civil engineering design across a range of projects
• Good technical and communication skills
• Experience using relevant design and engineering software
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Experience with drainage design would be highly advantageous, although not essential
• A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing your career

• Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid working with a Watford-based office
