Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in York. The successful candidate would use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects within the civils sector.

The role:

• Your primary focus will be to undertake civil engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Contribute to and oversee the production of: technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
• Maintain high technical standards and build strong relationships with colleagues
• Plan your work in a structured manner, working with colleagues in addressing peaks and troughs in resource demand and help to prioritise project delivery

About you:

• You should be a proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player
• Ideally 2 to 3 years'' post-graduate experience in civil & structural engineering
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
• Capable in the effective use of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD. Some experience in Civil 3D and/or MicroDrainage preferred
• A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations
• Full UK driving licence
