An established civil engineering firm based in Birmingham is looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer to join their growing team, with a strong focus on drainage, highways, and residential development projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven engineer to work on a varied portfolio of projects, from initial design through to delivery, within a business that has built a strong reputation for technical quality and client relationships across the region.

The Role:

• Producing and reviewing civil engineering designs, drawings, and calculations across drainage, highways, and residential schemes
• Designing SuDS and foul/surface water drainage strategies in line with current standards
• Producing highways design in support of residential and mixed-use developments, including adoptable roads
• Working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification
• Providing technical input across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction
• Liaising with local authorities, water authorities, and statutory bodies where required

What''s Required:

• A degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a similar civil engineering role, with a focus on drainage, highways, and residential projects
• Strong working knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow) and UK design standards (e.g. Sewers for Adoption, DMRB)
• Chartered status (or working towards) would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
