Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stage 5 Design Manager to support the finalisation and approval of the South Ruislip Ventilation Shaft Stage 5 design. This is a critical asset within a major infrastructure project, with timely design approvals essential to maintaining construction progress, as suppliers are already on site at South Ruislip.

Key Responsibilities
·Manage and oversee the completion of outstanding Stage 5 design deliverables for the South Ruislip Ventilation Shaft.
·Coordinate with internal design teams, external consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders to resolve design issues and maintain progress.
·Monitor design deliverables against programme requirements, ensuring approvals are achieved in line with critical construction milestones.
·Support the resolution of technical queries, design interfaces and outstanding design matters that could impact site activities.
·Ensure designs are appropriately coordinated, reviewed and compliant with relevant project specifications, standards and requirements.
·Work collaboratively with the existing team to identify potential risks, address design constraints and minimise delays to construction.
·Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, providing updates on design progress, outstanding approvals and any issues requiring escalation.

Essential Experience and Skills
·Experience in construction, particularly civil engineering, architectural fit-out or associated infrastructure works.
·Proven experience in design management, ideally within a construction or major infrastructure environment.
·Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external organisations.
·Experience working on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects with demanding programme and delivery requirements.
·Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate design deliverables and drive timely resolution of outstanding issues.
·Valid CSCS White or Black Card.

Additional Information: This role is particularly suited to a proactive Design Manager who can quickly integrate into an established team and help drive the final design approvals required to maintain construction progress at South Ruislip.
