Civil Design Engineers

Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers for a contract opportunity starting as soon as possible. This is a long-term contract role, working inside IR35, with a competitive rate offered. The role is focused on delivering exceptional civil design solutions within the water sector, specifically in non-infrastructure and some infrastructure projects.

• Developing detailed civil design solutions for a range of water sector projects
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering designs
• Providing technical expertise to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards
• Participating in project meetings and liaising with clients and stakeholders
• Contributing to the successful delivery of frameworks and capital investment programmes
• Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Documenting design processes and preparing detailed reports
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion

• Experience in civil design engineering, preferably within the water sector
• Strong technical design skills and understanding of design principles
• Experience with non-infrastructure projects, with some exposure to infrastructure projects
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and multiple framework delivery partners
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification

• Work on multiple frameworks with prestigious clients, including the Wessex capital delivery framework for AMP8, a bespoke contract via Kier for Thames, and the Welsh capital investment programme
• Engage in a variety of challenging and rewarding projects within the water sector
