Civil and Structural Engineer

Sapien Engineering are looking for a Project Engineer / Civil and Structural Engineer to join our engineering client based in near Market Harborough. The role will involve taking projects from initial concept through to design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning. The ideal candidate will be hands on, technically strong and commercially aware, with the ability to take ownership of projects and work closely with internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities Produce 2D and 3D General Arrangement (GA) drawings and system layouts. Use SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design, detailing and engineering drawings. Integrate in house equipment with third-party machinery to create complete plant layouts. Optimise layouts for space, material flow and overall performance. Develop designs through to Design Freeze and customer approval. Create detailed manufacturing drawings from 3D models. Produce and manage BOMs within an ERP/MRP system. Work within project cost, quality and timescale requirements. Attend customer sites for measurements, installation, commissioning and testing. Provide engineering support throughout the full project lifecycle. Prepare technical specifications, manuals and other engineering documentation. Identify opportunities to improve existing designs and manufacturing processes.
