Engineer to Lead Engineer Level

Our client is seeking Civil & Structural Engineers ranging from Engineer through to Lead Engineer level to support a major UK Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme.

Working across key nuclear infrastructure packages including Reactor Island, Turbine Island, Balance of Site and Cooling Water systems, successful candidates will be involved in the design, assessment and delivery of complex reinforced concrete, steel and civil engineering structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Development of calculations, technical reports and design substantiation
• Assessment of structures under normal, environmental and extreme loading conditions
• Working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Supporting technical assurance and regulatory compliance activities
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring (Lead level)

Suitable Backgrounds:

We are interested in candidates with experience in:

• Nuclear
• Energy
• Defence
• Rail
• Power generation
• Major infrastructure projects

Chartered status is desirable for senior positions, although candidates working towards Chartership will also be considered.

Given the nature of this work, we are strictly only accepting British Citizens / British Passport Holders, as you will need to obtain SC Clearance.
