Description
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimise manufacturing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce inefficiencies.
- Analyse performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programmes to promote continuous improvement methodologies.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles across departments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all improvement projects.
- Monitor the success of initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Act as a key liaison between engineering and manufacturing teams to align improvement goals.
Profile
A successful CI Engineer should have:
- A strong background in continuous improvement within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
- Degree or time served apprenticeship in an Engineering related discipline.
- Engineering/manufacturing experience in a precision manufacturing environment, to include Lean tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of manufacturing systems, machining, assembly, test and CNC machine tools.
- Proven ability with problem solving tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of process related standards.
- Understanding of CAD tools (SolidWorks, SolidCAM) desirable.
- Understanding of Mechanical drawings.
- Nuclear/Defence industry experience and knowledge of Defence standards and accreditations desirable.
