We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chiller Engineer to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, with a focus on industrial and commercial chillers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical systems and a commitment to maintaining optimal environmental conditions in facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and repair water-cooled and air-cooled chillers (centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption types).
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on chillers and related systems (pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, etc.).
- Diagnose equipment faults and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and adjust control systems, setpoints, and sensors to ensure efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
- Respond promptly to equipment alarms or system failures and take appropriate corrective action.
- Work with BMS (Building Management Systems) for monitoring and adjustments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations.
- Assist in planning and execution of system upgrades or replacements.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or servicing.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related technical field.
- Minimum [3-5] years of hands-on experience working with chillers and HVAC systems.
- In-depth knowledge of chillers (e.g., Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin systems).
- Understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC codes, safety practices, and environmental regulations.
- Certification in HVAC (e.g., EPA, F-Gas, or local equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and BMS interface.
