Location: BexleyRole: School Support Worker / SEND Learning Support AssistantContract: Full-Time, Long-TermAbout the RoleWe are currently recruiting School Support Workers to join a welcoming and supportive specialist SEND school in Bexley.The school supports secondary-aged pupils with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and physical disabilities. Many pupils require a high level of individualised support throughout the school day, so we are looking for patient, caring and reliable individuals who are confident providing both learning and personal care support.This is a hands-on role and would particularly suit candidates with previous experience within SEND schools, healthcare, residential care, support work or complex-needs settings.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex SEND.Supporting pupils with SLD, PMLD, physical disabilities and additional needs.Assisting pupils to access learning and participate in classroom activities.Supporting pupils with their communication, independence and social development.Providing personal care, including toileting and changing where required.Supporting pupils with mobility, moving and positioning in line with individual care plans and training.Supporting pupils during break times, lunchtimes and activities throughout the school day.Following individual education, behaviour, medical and care plans.Working closely with teachers, therapists and ..... full job details .....
