Job Title: Children''s Support Worker - Secure UnitLocation: PeterboroughSalary: 18.00 - 19.00 per hourAbout the Role:We are currently recruiting experienced and resilient Children''s Support Workers to join a secure unit in Peterborough. This is a highly rewarding role supporting vulnerable children and young people with complex needs in a structured and secure environment. You will play a key role in promoting safety, stability, and positive behavioural outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality care and supervision within a secure settingSupport children and young people with emotional and behavioural needsSafely manage challenging behaviours in line with training and policiesBuild professional, trusting relationships with young peopleWork closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plansMaintain accurate records and reportsRequirements:Minimum of 6 months'' UK experience working with children or young peopleValid restraint training (e.g. MAPA, CPI, or equivalent) - essentialStrong communication and de-escalation skillsAbility to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situationsFlexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekendsDesirable (but not essential):Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleRelevant qualification in Health and Social Care or ChildcareWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly rate of 18.00 - 19.00Ongoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive and professional working environmentOpportunity to make a real ..... full job details .....
