Job Description: Waking Night Support Worker - Children''s Solo Residential HomeJob Title: Waking Night Support WorkerLocation: StanleySalary: Starting salary £26,762 per annumHours: Waking Night Shifts (typically 12 hours per shift, 37 hours per week, Monay-Sunay including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis)Reports To: Registered Manager / Deputy ManagerJob PurposeTo provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for a child or young person living in a solo residential home during overnight hours. The Waking Night Support Worker is responsible for ensuring the young person''s safety, welfare, and well-being throughout the night, responding to any needs or incidents, and maintaining the smooth operation of the home.The role requires vigilance, professionalism to support children and young people who may have experienced adverse childhood experiences, emotional difficulties, or challenging behaviours.Key ResponsibilitiesSafeguarding and WelfareSafeguard and promote the welfare of the child or young person at all times. Maintain continuous awareness of the young person''s safety and well-being throughout the night. Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, disclosures, incidents, or emergencies in accordance with company policies and procedures. Follow risk assessments, behaviour support plans, and care plans to ensure the young person''s needs are met safely.
