Childrens Social Worker

We are seeking a committed and compassionate Family Help Social Worker to join our dedicated team in the West Midlands. You will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes, helping to reduce risks and strengthen family relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to families by providing early help and targeted interventions, working closely with partner agencies, and ensuring that children remain at the heart of everything we do.

• Provide timely support to families, focusing on early intervention and prevention.

• Assess needs, strengths, and risks in order to develop effective family plans.

• Deliver direct work with children, young people, and parents/carers.

• Work in partnership with schools, health professionals, and other agencies.

• Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with statutory guidance.

• Record casework accurately and maintain high professional standards.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• A qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, Degree or equivalent) registered with Social Work England.

• Experienced in working with children and families within statutory or voluntary services.

• Skilled at building trust and engaging with families from diverse backgrounds.

• Confident in managing a varied caseload and making sound, child-focused decisions.

• Committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and positive outcomes for children.
