Children''s Social Work, Youth Offending Service Officer, Staffordshire Pay rate to £25.26 per hour Contract roles - Youth Offending Service / YJS / YOS Pertemps are recruiting for experienced Youth Offending Service Officer in Staffordshire. This to work within the SYOS in the Newcastle under Lyme area. Staffordshire Youth Offending Service (SYOS) operates as one of the Youth Offending Services across England and Wales and is an integral part of the Youth Justice System. Within Families First, SYOS is an integral part of the Early Help and Specialist Safeguarding Delivery Service, with the County Manager (SYOS) reporting directly to the Strategic Lead (Early Help, Specialist Safeguarding Delivery and Youth Offending Service) who provides management oversight and is line-managed by the Director of Families and Communities and Deputy Chief Executive, who reports directly to the County Council''s Chief Executive Officer. The primary aims of the Youth Justice System are: a) Prevent offendingb) Reduce re-offendingc) Ensure the safe and effective use of custodyd) Increase victim and public confidenceKey Accountabilities: Manage a full Youth Justice caseload including both statutory and non-statutory interventions. Work should be prioritisedin accordance withlevel of identified need of the child and wider community.
