Children''s Residential Support Worker Location: Exeter Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? An established specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join a modern semi-independent residential home in Exeter. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children and adolescents aged 8 to 16 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours, within a safe, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop responsibility for their own lives Maintain a warm, homely atmosphere within the residential setting Safely and sympathetically manage challenging behaviours Protect young people from potential risks to their health and welfare Support young people in developing independence and emotional resilience Ensure the environment is safe and care plans, communication preferences are kept up-to-date Build positive relationships with staff, families, social workers, and other professionals involved in the care of young people Essential Requirements: Experience as a Children''s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable but not essential Experience within healthcare or social care environments is advantageous Full UK driving licence, as transportation of young people may be required Over the age of 21 and able to commute to Exeter This role in Exeter is ideal for adaptable, motivated ..... full job details .....
