Led by a group of Senior Managers within the Residential Childcare industry with a combined 65+ years of experience, including ex-Outstanding Registered Managers, respected consultants and an ex-Ofsted Inspector.This home is a newly purpose-built property, registered as a 4 Bed EBD home in Redditch. You will lead a team and have the support of a consultant psychologist, a dedicated Head Office, and access to Sue Solutions digital reporting and recording software. Staff will be enrolled onto DDP qualifications to become accredited, with bonuses for good performance.
The Package and Benefits
Basic Salary: Up to £60k p.a., depending on experience
Performance Bonuses: Up to £5k p.a., based on KPIs, Ofsted and Occupancy
Overall package potential: Up to £65k per annum
Professional Development: Opportunity to complete qualifications up to Level 7 in Strategic Management for Residential Childcare, as well as Level 1and2 in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy

Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Children''s Home Manager, you will be the backbone of the home, leading a passionate team to ensure smooth operation, high-quality care for young people, and Ofsted excellence.
Run a children''s home to ''Good'' or ''Outstanding'' standards, adhering to Ofsted''s Children’s Homes Act (2015), Quality Standards, and Safeguarding Procedures
Manage a staff team, conduct supervisions and appraisals, ensure trainings align with Quality Standards
Develop and review Ofsted-required paperwork (care plans, behaviour support plans, risk assessments, regulated reports) and attend/review LAC, EHCP, PEP and Pathway Planning meetings
Communicate effectively with young people, families, and external professionals
Conduct administrative tasks (health and safety checks, medication audits, rotas, finances) and participate in recruitment and inductions
Provide on-call leadership and expert advice during out-of-hour crises
Requirements
Minimum 2+ years leading a team within a children''s home environment
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Full UK Manual Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
Understanding of SCCIF, the Children’s Home Act (2015), and Quality Standards; ability to register as a manager with Ofsted and pass a Fit Person''s Interview
