Children''s Independent Reviewing Officer

Our client Bolton council is looking for a Children''s Independent Reviewing Officer to join their team.The Independent Reviewing and Conferencing Team require a full-time qualified Social Worker, to cover a vacancy within the Team to cover and facilitate Conferences for Looked After Reviews due to a secondment.Candidates will need to have minimum of 5 years post qualification Social Work experience within childcare settings and prior IRO/ CPCC experience would be a clear advantage.Essential to the role:Understanding of legislation for Children in Need; Children subject to child protection plans; Pathway plans and children Looked AfterEvidence of preparing, producing, implementing, and evaluating plans with individual Children, families, carers, and professional colleaguesExperience of leading, chairing, recording, and facilitating child protection meetingsAbility to relate easily to and support children and young people to participate in their meetings and engage the family in decision makingMain DutiesTo develop and manage your own resourcesTo work within multi-disciplinary and multi-organisational teams, networks and systemsTo manage, present and share information, records and reports to support decision makingTo lead, chair and facilitate meetingsTo implement, and monitor compliance with, quality assurance systemsTo provide leadership in own area of responsibilityTo prepare, produce, implement and evaluate plans with individuals, families, carers and professional ..... full job details .....
