AA Euro Healthcare are recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager on behalf of a leading Childrens Home care provider in Waltham Abbey. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role and make a genuine difference..
About the Role: 3 Bedded EBD Home
As a Deputy Manager, you will be taking responsibility for all aspects of the day to day running of the care home and to achieve an industry leading standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
- Coordinating and attending meetings with schools, social workers, and the local authority.
- Helping oversee a team of support workers, providing guidance and training in various therapeutic techniques and protocols.
- Writing reports for LAC, Placement reviews and Care plans.
- Raising any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriate.
- Dealing with challenging behavior (verbally abusive, possibly threatening behavior).
- Positive role modelling at all times and maintaining a consistent approach.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct and create risk assessments to safeguard children and young people..
- Positive behavior support and physical intervention.
- Conducting Key work sessions.
- Liaising between social workers, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of CQC frameworks and quality assurance.
- Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to achieve).
- Resilient, compassionate leadership style with excellent communication skills.
- Passion for supporting vulnerable adults and achieving high safeguarding standards.
Personal Characteristics:
- Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one.
- Experience in supporting young adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues / EBD
- The ability to keep calm under pressure.
- The confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills
- The passion to work with vulnerable adults
- The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
