Children's Residential Support Worker

Support Workers - Children and Young People - Cardiff

Shifts - Days (8am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm) and Nights (7pm to 7am)

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. Responsibilities

• Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, play and educational tasks
• Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
• Support children in engaging with educational and recreational activities to promote development
• Maintain clear communication with families, colleagues and external professionals regarding progress and concerns
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Drive children to appointments or activities as required, maintaining a clean driving record
• Keep accurate records of care provided, observations, and any incidents in line with organisational policies
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a childcare or support setting is highly desirable
• Knowledge of child development principles and care planning processes
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Compassionate nature with strong organisational skills
• Ability to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
