Salary & Benefits

• -15.75 per hour
• -65 per sleep-in
• + -5 per hour enhancement (where applicable)
• -1,500 Joining Bonus
• Realistic OTE: -36,000 - -42,000 per year
• Overtime available

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join a 2-3 bed children''s home supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is a key leadership role where you will lead shifts, support staff, and provide high-quality, therapeutic care to young people. You''ll play a vital role in creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and take responsibility in the absence of management
• Provide high-quality, child-centred care
• Support young people with behaviour, routines, and independence
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
• Manage challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques
• Maintain accurate records and reports
• Support and mentor junior staff
• Work alongside external professionals (social workers, schools, therapists)

Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People (Essential)
• Experience in:
• Children''s Residential Care
• EBD / Challenging Behaviour
• Mental Health or Secure Settings
• Experience leading shifts or working as a Senior
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins
