Children's Home Manager

My client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Children''s Manager to oversee the care and well-being of children in their-facility, based in the LE5 area of Leicester

This role requires a strong leader with experience in children''s homes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, be submitted to Ofstead, provide-positive outcomes to children, supervising staff, and ensuring that all medication administration is conducted safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child''s needs.
• Supervise and lead a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of children in care, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for children.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration and any changes in health status.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of each child.
• Conduct regular assessments of care practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Supervisory or Management experience within a children''s home
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and care plan development.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A compassionate approach to care giving with a genuine desire to improve the lives of children in your care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a focus on individualised care.
• Be working towards Level 5, if not already held
• Be happy to be submitted to Ofstead-
