We are looking for a Children Support Worker to join our client''s team
To provide a needs led service to young people/children with autism and associated difficulties by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.-
-Main Responsibilities, Tasks & Duties -
- Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well ordered environment is maintained at all times.-
- Supervising children and young people before and after the school day including meal times and to proactively support/encourage the development of their cooking skills etc.-
- To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.-
- Accompanying children and young people on recreational activities and demonstrating positive role modelling.-
-Performance and Development -
- Maintain confidentiality.-
- To act as a positive role model at all times.-
- Work within policies and procedures.-
- Adhere to the Codes of Practice and staff handbook. At all times to work within equal opportunities policy and procedure.-
- At all times work within current legislation.-
- Enter actively into supervision and appraisal.-
Please note that this positions require an Enhanced DBS check in relation to working with children.
Full UK Driving licence is essential.-
