Children Support Worker

We are looking for a Children Support Worker to join our client''s team To provide a needs led service to young people/children with autism and associated difficulties by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. Main Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well ordered environment is maintained at all times. Supervising children and young people before and after the school day including meal times and to proactively support/encourage the development of their cooking skills etc. To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings. Accompanying children and young people on recreational activities and demonstrating positive role modelling. Performance and Development Maintain confidentiality. To act as a positive role model at all times. Work within Treehouse Educare s policies and procedures. Adhere to the Treehouse Educare Codes of Practice and staff handbook. At all times to work within equal opportunities policy and procedure. At all times work within current legislation. Enter actively into supervision and appraisal.
