You will be working with a minimum staffing ratio of 2:1. Young People maybe subject to DOLS requiring staff to be restraint trained. This is offered free by Prospero and we encourage you to book on. This ensures the safety of the young person, as well as protecting staff. For this role, you must have good attention to detail, writing detailed daily notes. This will record things such as the service users emotions, any interactions with colleagues/family members, conversations, food diaries and the daily routine of the service user. The role will require you to partake in activities with the young person and help to manage their money, ensuring receipts are kept for each transaction. You will need to be able to identify and report any safeguarding issues that may arise in relation to the young person, as well as aiding in their development and keeping them on track.
