Residential Childcare Officer (Temporary - Agency) Location: JerseyPay: 23.00 per hourContract: 3 months (with potential extension) Start: Immediate Residential Childcare Service - Jersey Join a dedicated and ambitious residential childcare service on the island of Jersey, providing high-quality care, support and safe homes for children and young people who are unable to live with their families. The service offers a range of specialist provisions designed to meet differing needs. This includes children''s homes, an emergency bed provision, a home for older young people aged 17+, two short breaks homes supporting children with complex needs, and a secure children''s home for young people aged 10-17. The short breaks provision plays a vital role in enabling children to enjoy meaningful social and community experiences, while also providing essential respite for families and carers. The secure setting supports young people who may be remanded, serving custodial sentences, or subject to secure welfare orders where there are significant concerns for their safety and wellbeing. Across all settings, we provide nurturing, structured and safe environments where children are supported to recover from early adversity and achieve positive outcomes. Our approach is trauma-informed and child-centred, recognising each child as an individual with unique strengths, needs and potential.
