Job Purpose: To contribute to the provision of an effective child protection service by chairing multi-agency Child Protection conferences. To provide expert safeguarding advice and consultation to the department and outside agencies. To quality assure multi-agency service delivery and support and challenge practice in the best interest of our most vulnerable children and young people. To identify and promote areas of good practice and contribute to practice improvement Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities: To chair Child Protection Conferences using Signs of Safety methodology. Drive the use of Signs of Safety across the multi-agency partnership. To provide expert advice and consultation on all child protection matters to Service Managers, Team Managers and Social Workers in the department and members of outside agencies.
