This role will involve representing parents, grandparents, other family members, interveners, and children in a wide range of publicly funded child care matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services, supporting vulnerable clients, and contributing to the ongoing development of the department. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a varied caseload of child care matters including Care Orders, Supervision Orders, Emergency Protection Orders, Placement Orders, Adoption Orders, and Child Arrangement Orders • Handle Legal Aid applications and CCMS procedures • Represent parents, grandparents, family members, and children directly or through CAFCASS-appointed Guardians • Defend allegations involving injury, abuse, or neglect • Prepare court bundles, witness statements, and supporting documentation • Attend conferences, hearings, and undertake advocacy where appropriate • Instruct counsel and liaise with external parties as required • Provide sensitive and practical advice to vulnerable clients • Communicate complex legal matters clearly and ...
