Chief Financial Officer

A growing financial and legal claims management company based in Liverpool is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The role holder will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for the financial strategy, governance, and regulatory financial compliance of the business and will ensure the firm maintains robust financial controls, adequate capital resources, and effective risk management in accordance with the regulatory requirements applicable to FCA-regulated Claims Management Companies (CMCs). The CFO will act as the SMF2 - Chief Finance Function under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMandCR) and will be responsible for ensuring the firm maintains appropriate financial resources, effective financial controls, and transparent regulatory reporting to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, the CFO will be responsible for: Financial strategy and financial management of the firm Ensuring financial resources remain adequate Regulatory financial reporting to the FCA Financial controls and governance frameworks Oversight of accounting policies and financial risk management Ensuring financial implications of strategic decisions are appropriately assessed The role holder must comply with the Senior Manager Conduct Rules and maintain regulatory fitness and propriety.
