OverviewWe''re supporting a global engineering group in their search for a Chief Engineer - Control Systems, a senior leadership role where you''ll set direction, develop people, and play a key part in shaping the future of advanced control systems across specialist vehicles.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams across Software, Systems, and Electrical disciplines

Build and sustain an empowered engineering culture focused on growth, performance, and innovation

Align engineering resources to deliver on the product portfolio plan and business objectives

Ensure development of safe, reliable control systems compliant with industry standards

Champion agile, responsive practices to accelerate delivery and delight customers

Drive collaboration across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels

Support team development through coaching, training, and succession planning

Qualifications

Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams

Strong background in control systems, software, and electrical distribution within automotive or specialist vehicles

In-depth knowledge of ISO26262 (Functional Safety), ISO21434 (Cyber Security), and the V-Model

Skilled in portfolio planning, project delivery, and budget management

Confident communicator and influencer, able to engage with senior stakeholders

Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and model-based development
