Chief Engineer - BMS

A leading engineering group working on a number of innovative long term projects has a new vacancy for a Chief Engineer and has appointed Vectis Recruitment as exclusive recruitment partner. A hands-on Technical Specialist, you will provide subject matter expertise in the development of advanced battery management electronics and associated control systems for electrified platforms and energy storage applications. The Role Operate as the technical authority for advanced Battery Management System (BMS) hardware architectures, leading the development of high- and low-voltage battery systems for electrified vehicle platforms. Define, review, and approve hardware requirements, technical specifications, and system architectures. Lead the design and development of robust electronic hardware solutions. Conduct and lead technical reviews of schematics, PCB layouts, and system integration activities. Provide technical leadership for hardware verification, validation, root-cause analysis, and fault investigation activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Collaborate closely with software, controls, systems, electrical distribution systems (EDS), and mechanical engineering teams. Support customer engagements, concept development activities, technical proposals, and technology roadmap definition, acting as a trusted technical representative.
