Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO/PartnerWELREX is a London-based digital wealth management platform that connects Independent Relationship Managers (IRMs) and their High Net Worth (HNW) clients with key Emerging Markets.
WELREX promotes transparency and strengthens trust between IRMs and their HNW clients, transcending existing global wealth management standards. We define Independent Relationship Managers as individuals handling a portfolio of HNW clients at private banks and other wealth management companies who are ready to conduct their independent business on a suitable platform.
We are particularly looking for someone who has held (or currently holds) FCA registration for SMF 16 and 17 in wealth management/investment management/asset management space.

proven track record of FCA compliance expertise in wealth and investment management space
professional experience within wealth management and/or investment management and/or asset management preferably with firms of various sizes
excellent general practical knowledge and experience of the FCA handbook (MiFID PRU, Systems and Controls and Conduct of Business rules)
outstanding ability to implement Consumer Duty, Senior Manager Certification Regime
practical knowledge of RegData, Connect, wealth management surveys and other regular FCA reports
ability to advise on U/HNW client onboarding from Emerging Markets making their onboarding journey compliant and smooth
pragmatic and business minded approach that is solution focussed
strategic view of compliance roadmap for a digitally native wealth management firm
ability to assist with formulating vision, strategy and implementation of the compliance function, match the limited resources to the business needs
ability to empower the team or client and investment managers to deliver solutions that emphasize compliance, quality, simplicity and reliability
making decisions individually and collectively
at least 10 years relevant hands-on experience in a senior/managerial role, preferably within entrepreneurial environment
track record of successfully delivering compliance solutions in a variety of situations
scaling technology function and leading continued innovation in synchronisation with CEO’s vision
