About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This role is ideal for someone eager to inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons in Chemistry from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations with strong subject knowledge
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and achievement
- Collaborate with science department colleagues and contribute to curriculum development
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress
Qualifications andamp; Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level, including KS4 and ideally KS5
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and familiarity with GCSE and A-Level specifications
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to raising pupil attainment and fostering a love for science
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to department initiatives
