Chemistry Teacher

An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry is required for a permanent part-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Barnet, commencing in September. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).

Responsibilities

• They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4.
• The role involves effectively teaching chemical concepts, adhering to the school's curriculum.
• They will foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for chemistry.
• Assessment and monitoring of student progress in Science (Chemistry), along with providing feedback, will be required.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background is essential.
• Experience teaching Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
• A solid understanding of chemical principles is expected.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
