Chemical Production Operative - Early Shift

Location: Blackburn
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00am-9:00am
Salary: -29,000 - -30,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Chemical Production Operative to join an established manufacturing business in Blackburn.

The role involves supporting the manufacture and production of chemical products, operating production equipment and ensuring products are manufactured safely and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, pack and label chemical products
• Operate automated/manual machinery, mixing vessels and reactors
• Handle and prepare raw materials
• Record batch information using handheld barcode systems
• Carry out basic QC checks
• Complete production and cleaning records
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping

Requirements

• Previous production/manufacturing experience, ideally within chemicals or process manufacturing
• FLT and Reach Truck licence
• Good numerical, IT and communication skills
• Reliable with a strong approach to health & safety
