Chemical Process Operator

Job Title: Chemical Process Operator Location: Basildon Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm / Fri 7.30am-12.30pm Pay: 14.02ph AMLR are looking for a Chemical Process Operator who are looking to join a leading aerospace manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment. Key responsibilities for Chemical Process Operator: Preparing and operating chemical processing equipment and tanks. Cleaning, degreasing, and etching metal components before treatment. Applying chemical conversion coatings, anodising, passivation, or other surface treatments. Monitoring chemical bath concentrations, temperatures, pH, and processing times. Recording process parameters and maintaining accurate production documentation. Inspecting treated parts for quality and compliance with engineering specifications. Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and aerospace quality standards. Handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous chemicals safely. Performing routine maintenance on processing equipment. Working closely with quality inspectors, engineers, and production teams. Requirements for Requirements for Fettler/Polisher: Understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures. Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques.
